Firstly, let me introduce myself!
My name is Charlotte but you can call me Charbs.
I am a 30 year old travel support manager living and working in South West London who has decided that it is time to share my passion and enthusiasm for all things food and cooking and how I am incorporating this into a major change in my life.
I am currently on a major weight loss journey that is currently a year in the making and is very much still a work in progress. If you are interested in starting your own, are currently on your own weight loss path or simply want some delicious recipes and food inspiration, I hope you'll find this blog useful (I will also post about naughty foods for cheat days or to use your hard earned calories for so don't worry!).
This time last year, 25th June 2019, I nervously entered my local Slimming World group after becoming fed up and sick of what I was seeing in the mirror and how upset I was making my family and friends who were concerned about my health.
It was the best decision I had made in years.
I stepped on the scales and, at a average height of 5 foot 6", came in at a morbidly obese 20 stone 5.5 pounds. My heart dropped and this number really gave me the kick up the arse that was entirely needed. I needed to make a conscious serious decision to change my life for the good.
25th June 2019 was exactly 10 months prior to my 30th birthday which provided me with a decent goal of 5 stone by this date.
But I've done it! Averaging 1.5 pounds a week is manageable and completely do-able if you have the goal in mind and to be honest, if I can do it, anyone can.

With the help of the following, I have changed my way of life and now focus my energy on myself and my health
1. A flexible healthy eating plan where nothing is off the table
2. Inspiring recipes from my favourite bloggers (Pinch of Nom/Two Chubby Cubs/Slimming Eats)
3. Adapting my favourite regular recipes to becoming SW friendly
4. Making the right decisions between what I want in that moment in time vs. what I want in the long term (normally related to offers of copious amounts of alcohol/chocolate/crisps)
5. Slowly incorporating exercise and well-being into my lifestyle
I will talk more about these later in the blogs to spread out the advice and my story but this is the core of my weight loss journey and I hope that you will hang around to find out more!
